Its Cleveland-based buyout group focuses on traditional management buyouts and leveraged recapitalizations, industry build-ups and later-stage investments. The team invests in profitable, stand-alone middle-market companies, and divisions or subsidiaries of larger corporations. It focuses on industrial manufacturing (specifically highly-engineered content and component manufacturing) and business and industrial services.



New Venture Partners is an early stage venture capital fund with a primary focus on corporate information technology spinouts.  Founded in 2001, it now has approximately $700 million under management.  Headquartered in Murray Hill, New Jersey, it also has offices in the San Francisco Bay Area, England and the Netherlands. Its many corporate partners include Lucent Technologies, British Telecom, Philips Electronics, IBM, and Intel. 

New Venture Partners' original team came out of Lucent's Bell Labs.  Its interest in digital radio dates back to the formation of Lucent Digital Radio (LDR) in 1998, based on pioneering Bell Labs technology.  New Venture Partners remains the largest shareholder in LDR's successor, Ibiquity Digital, whose HD Radio technology is endorsed by the FCC as the sole standard for digital terrestrial radio broadcast in the U.S.
